Description

"Come on Pixel don't you want to look good at the pony grad?" "Raindew you have to stay still if you want this to be done any quicker"

OH MY GOD. I was worried I wouldn't be able to finish it well due to the huge gap between the time when I started and ended it. This is probably the most ambitious thing I've done in quite a while and I'm pleased with the result.

The request was to have queer be making a dress for the two ponies. Pixel hates anything girly so obviously she's a little upset about having to hang around in a clothing place for so long. Might as well get comfy eh? She never leaves her laptop away from her anyways.
Raindew is a very hard pony to dress :stare: oh dear god I recolored that dress 100 times before I eventually got to what I have.

Pixel and Raindew Belong to me and Queer Eye belongs to :iconalexkingofthedamned:

I noticed the contrast between computer screens is insane and I'm sorry if it looks heavily saturated on your screen T_T
I totally didn't use a grain filter to hide a billion mistakes

:bulletred: Everything on raindew is way too all over hte place and there are way too many colors in that section
:bulletred: The styles on the shadows differ on what section you look at
:bulletred: As usual I slacked on the cutie marks
:bulletred: A lot of clutter objects were removed due to it just needing to be done including a chandileer that was supposed to be beside the fireplace
:bulletred: Its a rule for me that either the object closest to the "camera" should either be fuzzy or very high in detail and I did neither.... I honestly forgot to fuzz it out as I was planning to
:bulletred: That dress is just such a mess of color... But I'd totally wear it in real xD

:bulletgreen: I spent 45 minutes on the perspective lines alone and i'm happy with the result as it was the first time i ever used perspective lines
:bulletgreen:I have 4 "layers" of light and shading going on and i'm proud with the result even though its not really part of my color theory studies
:bulletgreen: I didn't cheat with color correction gradients this time :dummy:
:bulletgreen:I really like pixel in the background. I could almost make that its own picture
:bulletgreen: The overall shape of the dress I feel I did really well. I even managed to make that part on her legs have a silk look to it

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I can't speak! God, this is brilliant. I just need to start from like, the bottom up and comment on everything I love individually.

:bulletred: the fact that you made this picture angled out over the table top is brilliant, I love the composition of the ruler and the cloth skeins
:bulletorange: THE LIGHTING. Seriously the yellow glow on them, the shadows behind them, even the red glow from the fireplace are all fantastic!
:bulletyellow: That dress on Raindew is beyond all words. I am stunned by how lovely it is, and flattered that you believe Queerie could come up with something that darling!
:bulletgreen: I love. How fuzzy. Queerie is. It looks like he has chest hair, ermagerd.
:bulletblue: Queerie's shop is such a mess! It really looks like he's working out of his home, which I don't think I even specified but you managed to get right anyway!
:bulletpurple: Pixel in the background giving no fucks
:bulletpink: I love the fact that there are no real lines! There are vague generalizations of shape, but no bold, solid outlines and it gives the whole piece a really soft feel.

I am seriously impressed with this. It's more than I ever could have hoped for, and it's now the background on my computer.

also I may want to humanize Raindew in that dress because it's so lovely...
