Style Theft? Not meaning once or twice. I mean their entire gallery is identical to another persons style. With no mention of this other person.

Is a legitimate type of theft and should be taken seriously
Only if it\\\'s a very unique style being stolen should it be taken into account.
Can be used as partial evidence of a theif actually being a theif but can\\\'t be the main evidence.
Is very weak evidence
To a certain extent it\\\'s okay but a few things can take it too far (Such as commercializing on said style)
No one has rights over a style. Drawing another persons style is completely acceptable.

I think you guys are somewhat misinterpreting what I'm asking

I don't mean someone using another persons style for a bit and MENTIONING their name or something. I'm fine with that too. Hell look at the brony fandom in general (even though I would much prefer artists doing their own thing) I'm talking someone who takes another persons style, down to the coloring/shading methods as best they can, it's the ONLY style they do and not only Give NO credit to the original but assert it is their own style. On top of this they never deviate from this style or try to improve +Ten points if they are selling this style.  I'm not refering to corporation artwork I'm specifying on other singular artists.
For example: You could say it's like people imitating official pokemon artwork with the goal set to make a hoax pokemon. Not a fan pokemon but ones you see in magazines claiming "leaked" images. Which the magazine profits over.
TLDR:I'm talking extreme cases and someone with thief mannerisms.

I always thought this type of behaviour was a mix of impersonation and theft, almost base making without permission type thing. If at minimum absolutely crooked and despicable.

My style is more in the coloring so I'm not affected by this TOO much, however if I had a style that was identifiable and caught someone doing this I would likely file a ticket to dA. Assuming it was very obvious it was originally my style.  A person mentioning me and saying it's for practice or out of inspration once or twice is a completely other story.

It's a very "grey" issue, I know that. Very context sensitive.
